House Sabre.
The Hemochrons have read the blood. This Convert was sent to House Sabre, and marked for the Praetorians.
The Sabre Hemochron
Praetorian Candidate
The Blood Holds the Line.
You chose the oath over the moment, the whole over the individual, and the fight over the easy way out. Obedience alone is cheap. You understand what it is for.
House Sabre is the sword of the Empire: heirs to the legions of Rome, soldiers first and individuals second, the iron that keeps the cities in line. Kronos will break you down and rebuild you into something that does not flinch.
The scarred man in red looks at you for a long moment. He does not look pleased.
“Cruelty. Obedience with nothing underneath it. The legions will take you, but they will not keep you. Your kind are handed to the Archons of House Draconi. You will wear the violet P, and every citizen of the Underworld will despise you for it. I suspect you will not mind.”
You will be ordered to hold a line when retreat would be sensible. Hold it.
“The blood verifies it. Record the Convert for House Sabre.”
